Mapping Projects

GIS Mapping is an important part of BYKA and we are privileged to have some of the best in the world volunteering there time for Ghana and the promotion of their area of excellence. This page will be used to provide links to their work and to show some basics concepts while the team builds the complex layers needed for the Ghana Race and links to community events and culture.

We are getting support from ESRI and will also be loading information on Google Earth.

The map points below are a simple test example to show the power of this initiative. It shows some of the BYKA locations which you will be able to click on when you load the KML or KMZ (same as KML just zipped) files.

The following is where you will be able to load Google Earth KML Files and instructions on how to do so. Other links will be set up for less resource intensive tools and also those sites supported by our GIS Folks who are kindly helping BYKA and you.
